Kefir Berry Smoothie

Start your morning off with this healthy gut-boosting smoothie. It’s packed with probiotics, protein, fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants and I love the tangy flavor. Kefir is a fermented milk that is a very rich source of diverse probiotics which are essential for maintaining healthy gut bacteria. Since kefir is fermented it greatly reduces the lactose so it can often still be enjoyed comfortably by the lactose-intolerant!

Just 3 simple ingredients provides about 200 calories, 12g of protein, 4g of fiber and is a great addition to your favorite breakfast.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Plain unsweetened Kefir
  • 1/2 Cup Frozen Mixed Berries
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Flaxseed

Instructions
 

  • Blend and enjoy!
  • Add a splash of water to thin it out if needed.
