Hi there, I’m Kat Burris
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a Masters degree in Human Nutrition from Drexel University.
I have many years of experience as a hospital-based Clinical Dietitian providing Medical Nutrition Therapy for cardiac, renal, diabetic, pulmonary and oncology patients.
During my dietetic internship I worked in the kitchens of the USMC Recruitment Depot and within the Sharp hospital system.

Prior to becoming an RDN, I’ve spent over a decade managing luxury resort spas where my passion for holistic health was ignited. I became a Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Massage Technician and Level 1 Sommelier to expand my knowledge and hone my craft. In addition to running my own private practice, I also partner with a local superfood company creating nutritious recipes using a variety of health-promoting products.

As a former Division 1 collegiate athlete, I am an avid runner and continue to run competitively, understanding the importance of fueling the body for optimal performance. I love to inspire my clients to find physical movements they love and challenge them to create personal goals to conquer.
When I’m not working or running, I love to cook and have a large vegetable garden where I make garden-to-table meals. I am a San Diego native living with my husband and three sons who inspire my daily to live an active, healthy and well-balanced life.

Consultation
This complimentary 15-min consultation will help me assess your nutrition concerns. Nutrition services are personal, confidential and customized to your specific needs. All sessions are conducted on Zoom or over the phone with notes documented for your reference.

90 Minute Virtual Session
A comprehensive analysis of medical history, nutrient needs and intake, discuss lifestyle and physical activity, identify nutrition concerns, nutrition education, meal planning and customized attainable personal goals.

6, 8 & 12 Week Programs
The hardest part is getting started! Let me help you create a confident and peaceful relationship with food. My programs include the full nutrition assessment plus weekly sessions to monitor progress and make adjustments. We’ll also collaborate on weekly cooking/recipes tips, grocery store planning and nutrition education. You will be held accountable to your goals!
